African and European countries such as Algeria, Mauritania, France and Germany have imported protective masks from Morocco in these times of covid-19.
While the case of Algeria had been denied, data from the Moroccan Ministry of Industry and Trade indicate that Algiers had indeed imported half a million Moroccan masks, writes Maghreb Intelligence.
With 800,000 masks purchased in Morocco, Mauritania is the leading African customer of the Moroccan textile industry, followed by Algeria (500,000). Senegal closes the podium with 10,000 Moroccan masks imported.
