Air France Schedules Special Flights to Repatriate Thousands Stranded in Morocco

Air France has scheduled a series of special flights for the repatriation of French and dual nationals stranded in Morocco for weeks due to the closure of air links.
About ten flights have been scheduled between April 28 and May 28 for the repatriation of French and dual nationals stranded in Morocco, according to the Air France website. This is a "second wave of return" after the departure of around 150 special flights between mid-March and mid-April, said a diplomatic source in Rabat to AFP. According to this source, there are about 5,000 French passport holders still waiting for a flight to France.
The tourists in camper vans, stranded in northern Morocco, are not left behind. The Spanish shipping company GNV is already ensuring their return. They have been embarked on cargo ships for five weeks, according to the groups of stranded travelers.
The diplomatic source said that the first were able to sail this week from Tangier to Genoa, Italy. Similarly, two connections to Sète are planned from May 11, coinciding with the start of deconfinement in France.
