Agadir Welcomes First Foreign Tourists as Morocco Eases Travel Restrictions

The new measures put in place by the Moroccan authorities have allowed Agadir to welcome its first foreign tourists. This situation comes after several months of freezing tourism activity due to the coronavirus.
The tourism promoters of the capital of Souss can now rub their hands. Following the decision of Morocco to extend the validity of PCR tests from 48 to 72 hours, several tourists have started to set foot on national territory.
Pending a resumption of tourism activities nationwide, Agadir is celebrating its tourists. It is a first group of six tourists, mostly French women, who arrived on Tuesday, October 6 in the city.
For Marie-Josée, one of these tourists, she should have gone to Morocco since last May. According to her, she had to review her project several times due to the epidemic due to the coronavirus. Now in Morocco, accompanied by five of her friends, they were warmly welcomed at Agadir’s Al Massira airport, as well as at the hotel where they had booked their stay.
