Adidas Campaign Spotlights Moroccan Stars Ahead of Women’s World Cup

Adidas celebrates, through its new FIFA Women’s World Cup campaign, which will take place from July 20 to August 20, 2023 in Australia and New Zealand 2023, the stars of Moroccan women’s football.
For its new World Cup campaign, Adidas has produced films in which we see a global family of football legends and women’s football supporters. These are superstars such as David Beckham, Leon Goretzka, Ian Wright, actress and football fan Jenna Ortega, as well as Argentine world champion Lionel Messi, but also icons of the new generation of Moroccan women’s football, Imane Saoud and Élodie Nakkach. In a press release, the global leader in the sports goods industry based in Herzogenurach specifies that the film "Play Until They Can’t Look Away" highlights the best female footballers in the world who deserve the attention and support of the whole world thanks to their incredible talent and passion for the game.
"In the streets of Morocco, Imane Saoud and Élodie Nakkach captivate their fans with a passionate match, smoothly passing the ball between them. Their exceptional technical skills easily transition from the street to the pitch thanks to the new shoes **. Saoud and Nakkach’s fluid movements reflect their performance on the field, showcasing the unparalleled talent that has evolved in their hometown," we can see in this short film. "As Saoud and Nakkach stroll through the streets, their breathtaking show attracts the attention of Azzedine Ounahi. He watches in amazement, unable to comprehend the incredible technical abilities these two players possess. Nakkach makes an excellent shot, strikes the ball with power and precision, sends the ball fluidly into a traditional carpet representing the goal and tears it apart with force, leaving Ounahi stunned and speechless," adds the same source.
Delighted to have participated in this campaign, Moroccan footballer Imane Saoud says: "Women’s football has come a long way and today the game is getting the support it deserves, but there is still progress to be made. [...] This campaign vividly shows the excitement in the world of football and how everyone can enjoy it anywhere, anytime." Her compatriot Élodie Nakkach also expresses her pride: "Participating in the Adidas campaign video is an incredible opportunity that I am very proud of. With its unwavering support, Adidas represents women in football and opens the door to a new era of empowerment. As an Adidas athlete, I am grateful to be part of a brand that recognizes and celebrates the skill, talent and passion of players."
