Acrobat Scales Building to Remove Far-Right ’White Lives Matter’ Banner in Paris Protest

While thousands of protesters were protesting against racism and police violence on Saturday, June 13 in Paris, members of Génération Identitaire deployed a banner bearing the inscription "White Lives Matter". Acrobate94, a 28-year-old YouTuber, immediately scaled a building with his bare hands to remove this provocative banner.
"I climbed up through the gutter. I landed on a balcony, walked a bit on it and then climbed up to the roof. There, I saw them, there were about ten of them, a little hidden. They were really surprised to see me. Me, I looked to see if they didn’t have any weapons, you never know... Then I immediately threw myself on the banner to detach the big cables, while constantly looking behind me to see if they weren’t going to push me," recounts to Street Press the young acrobat.
This 28-year-old YouTuber with a large following on Instagram filmed himself on the roof. "At that moment, there were cries, but cries... It was incredible. People were shouting: ’Thank you! Thank you!’ It warmed my heart. It was proof that it had to be done. We were totally together. It was a kind of heroic act," he adds.
