Tuesday 23 February 2021, by Sylvanus

Marrakech is one of the destinations that Swiss International Air Lines intends to offer in the coming weeks. The other destinations are: Catania in Sicily, Larnaca in Cyprus, Heraklion in Crete, Faro in Portugal, the Balearic Islands in Majorca and Ibiza. SWISS will offer flights during the Easter holidays connecting Zurich to Sarajevo and Nis, the airline said in a press release.

As for its subsidiary Edelweiss Air, it will launch a new seasonal link between Zurich and Montego Bay-Sangster airport, with a weekly rotation from March 29 to October 25, 2021 operated via Punta Cana on an Airbus A330-300 (27+288).

The Swiss company also announces that two other vacation destinations, the Maldives and the Seychelles, will now be offered year-round, with respectively "three and one flight per week". This, subject to the lifting of travel restriction measures related to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Note that Morocco announced on Monday, February 22, 2021 the suspension of flights between the Kingdom and Switzerland (in both directions), in an attempt to curb the spread of Covid-19 variants.
