Morocco Launches Initiative to Attract Skilled Expatriates for National Development

This agency will have the mission of "monitoring projects and evaluating the national policy relating to Moroccan skills abroad" as well as coordinating the access of skills from immigration to the opportunities offered by national development projects. Abdellah Boussouf indicated that the decision of the return to Morocco of these skills to invest or transfer their expertise remains "subject to well-defined institutional guarantees and the reduction of risks for them and their families".

Nabil Alami, the person in charge of economic promotion structures at the Hassan II Foundation for Moroccans Residing Abroad, stated that the Foundation’s mission is to "collect data on Moroccan skills abroad for serious mobilization", reports the MAP.

He also stressed that the Foundation is in the process of "developing the successful experience of distance learning of the Arabic language and Moroccan culture, which it has initiated for three years through interactive courses with the beneficiaries". At the economic level, he mentioned "the updating of the guides for the Moroccan investor residing abroad", which will be published in the coming months, in French and Arabic, like the previous versions, specifies the same source.
