Moroccan Parliament to Introduce Amazigh Translation in Sessions Starting April 11

The announcement was made by the President of the Chamber, Rachid Talbi Alami, specifying that the adoption of simultaneous translation into Arabic and Amazigh during the weekly plenary sessions devoted to oral questions and the monthly plenary session devoted to oral questions addressed to the Head of Government, starts from Monday, April 11.

"This is an important historic moment that must be applauded and used to persevere on the path of implementing the provisions of the Constitution and the related organic law," stressed the president.

Alami also stated that the organs of his council have continued to function during the period between the two sessions, and that the steering committee of the council has in particular worked on activating the provisions of the constitution and the requirements of the organic law relating to the determination of the stages of activation of the official character of Amazigh and how to integrate it into the field of education and into the priority areas of public life, in parliamentary work.
