Moroccan Hostages Freed from Myanmar Criminal Network, Return Home

Three Moroccans, victims of a kidnapping by a criminal network in Myanmar, have been released and returned to the country on Saturday morning. Their plane landed at Mohammed V International Airport in Casablanca.
The three men, aged 28 to 38, had been kidnapped in Myanmar under circumstances that are the subject of a thorough investigation by Moroccan security services. The motivations behind their kidnapping also remain to be determined.
Upon their arrival on national soil, the three Moroccan citizens were taken care of by the authorities and were able to reunite with their loved ones. Initial investigations were conducted with them in order to retrace the precise events of their kidnapping and identify the ramifications of the criminal network involved.
The investigation is also continuing in order to determine any potential links that this network may have with other international human trafficking and migrant smuggling organizations.
