Crazy atmosphere in Paris: Wydad supporters put the 16th arrondissement to the rhythm of Morocco
The Ultras Winners 2005, supporters of Wydad Casablanca, gathered on Friday night in the 16th arrondissement of Paris to celebrate their 20th anniversary.
"Like Casa, like Paris... wherever we are, we are at home," wrote the "Wydad Red Castle" on X. After Casablanca, the club’s supporters took over the streets of the 16th arrondissement of Paris on Friday to celebrate their 20 years of existence.
The videos published on social networks show the Grenelle and Mirabeau bridges in the red colors of the smoke bombs, as well as fireworks fired from the two banks of the Seine, with the Eiffel Tower as a backdrop, relays BFMTV.
The Wydad ultras in France are not new to celebrations. For their fifteenth anniversary, they had also gathered and launched fireworks in Lyon and other French cities. Fans also celebrated the titles of the Casablanca club in 2019 at the Trocadéro in Paris with smoke bombs.
Second in the Moroccan championship after seven days, tied on points with AD FAR, Wydad Casablanca made a big move by recruiting Hakim Ziyech. Without a club for a few months, the Moroccan international hopes to gain in regularity to take part in the CAN Morocco 2025.
